My views changed in a way that allowed me to start opening my eyes and start to see what kind of healthcare I am living in. That being said, the film mentioned a lot of good points that changed my view. One of the things that changed my views that made me look at health care differently is when the film stated that patients in the most cost region ex) Miami, Medicare spends more money than the patients living in the not so costly reign ex) Indianapolis. The patients living in the costly region does not have a better outcome then the ones not living in the costly region, in fact the ones living In the costly region is most likely to die, this is because being that it’s a big city more care is being served there than a region that isn’t so big or costly. Before watching the film, I believed that the U.S healthcare was very good and is all about the patient; in fact I was the outside looking in. This film gave me the opportunity to look inside at what really goes on in this health care; this also made me to change my views on health care. The film had a statistic that 30% (roughly $750 billion annually) spending is being wasted and does not improve health care. This changed my view dramatically, this made me to strongly have the beliefs that not only do I now know that there is money for a better healthcare system, but I also believe that the people within the health care is just throwing money anywhere to places that doesn’t improve the patients health or improve the healthcare. My views also changed on the healthcare system when I was educated through the film that overall in the hospital the doctors doesn’t communicate with each other, which can lead to harms way towards the patient, repeated testing, procedure that isn’t needed. This can all be avoided if the doctors would spend one on one time with their patient getting to know the patient, understanding their needs, and
