The target audience of television violence can be more surprising than most think. The targeted audiences of most television violence are for people of the ages 18-34 (Hamilton). One example of extreme violence was the scream murder. In this case a model Belgian citizen stabbed a 15 year old girl to death. This was the murder of a 15 year old girl by a model 24 year old Belgian citizen. The man attacked the girl in a costume like the character from the movie Scream he proceeded to stab the girl 30 times with a knife. All this based off the movie Scream (Lavers). Thus it is a perfect example of the violence on TV directly impacting someone and their actions for the worst. There has also been many serial killings that are thought to be directly related to the violence seen on television. It has been found that the murders have been committing the same murders as they have seen on shows and movies (Lavers). It is also believed that serial killing has been fueled by sex and torture seen on television shows. These are linked to many murders (Lavers). Some of the shows representing this kind of actions would be Criminal Minds and Stalker both on CBS (Poniewozik). Those were just some of the real world examples of violence being direct motives in
