Creswell refers to interpretive research design as a tool to empower participants during their participation in the study (2006). Data collection methods allow for analysis of information to ascertain evidence that will answer the research problem or question. Quantitative research methods have critical components including data collection, sampling, internal validity, and ethical practice. The design of research involves providing data to answer the question developed by the researcher. Quantitative research methods allow investigation of correlational relationships through manipulation of the independent variables. Aytac (2015) explored the links between teacher opinions of principals actions as managers of human capital and the level of teacher commitment to the organization. Four factors on the Teacher Leadership Inventory provide information for data collection concerning the perception of each demographic group included in the study. A one-way ANOVA test for each factor surveyed with the Teacher Leadership Inventory. The quantitative study uncovered the factors that are most impactful in nurturing teacher leadership. The Opportunity Zone study seeks to uncover factors based on the needs of specific demographic groups to optimize the effectiveness of specific teacher leadership roles. For this reason, a quantitative method would be effective in analyzing perceptions of differentiated teacher leadership opportunities in Opportunity
