Sulcular or Bass technique is one of the most effective brushing technique because of its property to remove plaque or Bio Film and clean the area directly beneath the gingival margin which helps in controlling periodontal infections. ("Types of Tooth Brushing Techniques") As per Sundell’s study of pressure and stroke frequency, 5-7 years old children face difficulties in performing sulcular brushing and the development of motor skills related to tooth brushing behavior in children is age related. (Sundell, 1982) As a result it is very important that good tooth brushing habits be established at a younger age because habits which are learnt during early years of life, are deeply ingrained in the child’s mind. (Garcia-Godoy, 2001) According to some studies, powered toothbrush enhances tooth cleaning, elevating the levels of oral hygiene in areas where mechanical access is difficult and it also motivates the individual toward daily oral hygiene. After that children will be randomly divided into two groups. One group will use the manual toothbrush and the children in second group will use the powered tooth brush for a period of 60 days. For the accurate results, we will provide the same type of manual and powered toothbrush to all the participants. We will give them proper verbal instruction about the frequency and timing of brushing, and also teach them a proper tooth brushing technique. Moreover, they will be advised about not to use any additional oral hygiene products during trial period. At the end of 60 days we will again check the plaque index and record the score for both the
