This disease changes everyone’s lifestyle who’s affected by it. Osteoporosis causes change in appearance that can affect an individual’s self-esteem (NOF: What is Osteoporosis?). Not being able to do anything individually or alone can lead to depression. People who suffer from the disease have to be cautious with any physical activity they do. There’s no treatment that can cure the disease but there’s ways to control it. Most common medications prescribed are bisphosphonates like Fosamax, Actonel, Atelvia, Boniva, and Reclast.
