Throughout the course, I have learned that writing is not only about how much information is in the paper, but also about how well the writer’s thoughts are expressed throughout the text. Practicing many different styles of writing as I did in the class has helped me tremendously with my delivery in my writing. I believe that this course was one to prepare us for future writing courses with professors we will encounter who will give us feedback that may puzzle us because it will require more work and more thinking. Although I have had difficulty in the class, I do believe that I have learned from my mistakes and that I am finishing the course with stronger writing skills that will help me though the rest of my college career and life.…

When acquiring new skills, I usually think to myself, “How is this skill going to come in handy when I enter the working world?” If I cannot think of any purpose for knowing the skill, then I tend to forget about it. For example, I do not see any using for knitting except to pass the time and I do not plan on taking a class about how to knit anytime soon. One thing I do think is important to learn and always improve on would be my writing skills. I figure no matter where my career takes me whether it be on stage, backstage, or even being a stay at home mom I will always be writing.…

Yes, I have difficulties in the conversation with an audience that is not physically present because my writing skills are not well. To enter a conversation, I need to summary other’s view in the way which they can recognize and respond it with my own ideas in kind. To help audiences to recognize the person who I'm writing about, I often use “she/he argues that” or mention their name in my sentences. I usually try to struggle coming up with something to write because sometimes I might have no ideas about what I will write about. After read and review the templates on pages 8 & 9, I recognize some templates look familiar to me, such as “She argues…, and I agree because”; however, I often say that “She believe/think…, and I believe/ think”.…

My Reflection: So I believe that I have shown growth in my writing skills because looking back in Grade 9 and the beginning of Grade 10 I saw myself as like a "Level 2" person when it comes to writing because when I write something like an news article for example, so after I handed the news article in to assignment bin (ELS20 bin I guess) and it's handed back to me with some feedback and I read that feedback. It would say that I should revise it because I have some errors such as comma splices, or grammar errors and so I back then I wasn't really familiar with comma splices and I didn't know how to fix them, so now I have learned how to fix some of the errors I have made and I think that I have improved on my writing whether it's online or…
