Is animal captivity wrong? The answer to this rhetorical question can diverge into many directions. The world has been eagerly waiting for the answer from the researchers. The public has been protesting against animal captivity but how long will the protest last for? Will there ever be a change? In the end, we need an object to test all for the human benefits. Can we use humans for testing? No. Everything we do is for our benefit. We cannot blame the researchers nor the public because every research conducted has made a difference in human life. Animal abuse can be in many forms but animal activist Patti Strand groups the animal cruelty in two major categories “abuse that occurs as a result of negligence (failure to act properly) or harm that results from deliberate acts”(Patti Strand, 2014). Not all animals are tested in labs, some animals are mistreated very differently which we won’t even notice. Some of this abuse include pet owners not being responsible “that a pet needed veterinary treatment”(Patti Strand) and some intentional cruelty acts include “torture, beating or maiming animals as well as activities such as dog fighting, which result in severe pain, injury and death to the animals involved” (Patti Strand,2014). However, we must not forget that animal testings have been gradually decreasing in the labs and research centers. People are being responsible and are taking actions against animal abuse. Organizations like American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals(ASPCA), Humane Society of the United States, San Francisco Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animal(SPCA) have been dedicating their time and effort “along with at least $13.5 million in total annual expenses”(Colby Bermel, 2013) to help the lost animals reunite with their families including “dog and cat adoptions; operates a veterinary hospital”(Colby Bermel, 2013). In addition, these organizations provide a higher quality of service in order for these animals to be healthy and strong. Some of the services noted are “youth programs, training meetings,therapy sessions”(Colby
