How would it feel not to have love? in the future a boy named jonas lived in a community called The Giver in The Giver community where no one knows anything about the outside world or past. The only one who knows anything is The giver,but the twelve ceremony, jonas becomes the new receiver memory. he goes out to learn new things about the past, Elsewhere secret about his own community.The Giver community would be better with love, honesty and empathy.

One example on page 107 is, What is it that makes you suffer so much? if you gave me some of it to me, maybe your pain will be less.” This example shows empathy is important because if The Giver community has more empathy than people would help each other and helping other people is important. Another example on page 119 is,“ Finally, when the container was open, he extended his arm slowly across the blood-soaked earth, inch by inch, and held it to the lips of the boy. Water tricked into the imploring mouth and down the grimy chin.” this example shows empathy is important because if people felt how other people feeling than maybe then The Giver community would help each other like jonas give water to that boy.
This is concluded why The Giver should have love, honesty and empathy. Since we have love we can use this experience to know we should love our family and friends. Since we have honesty then we can tell the truth and people can trust as. Since we have empathy we can feel how others are feeling and help them if they need
