Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are the goals that created by the United Nation (UN) in order to develop the member states by achieving all of those goals. There are a lot of countries in the world that still have many challenges and problems that prevent them from becoming the developed countries. The newest sustainable development goals were released by UN in September 2015. The newest version of Sustainable Development goals consists of 17 goals which were increased from the previous version that have only 8 goals.

The purpose of this goal is ensuring that everyone in the world can access to a good quality of education and promoting lifelong learning. The quality of education is one of the essential factors to develop the countries by improving the literacy rate. In many countries, women and girls are prohibited to have education. This goal is also try to improve the equality of primary education between boy and girls. The UN statistic said that enrolment in primary education in the developing countries reach 91 percent, but 57 million children still remain out of school. Importantly, more than 50 percent of children in Sub-Saharan Africa have not enrolled in school. The fifth topic is gender equality. As we mention in the previous topic that there is the inequality of education between boys and girls, this goal also talks about the discrimination of education and human rights. This goal tried to access education, health care, decent work and can be representative in politics and economics. The UN information shows that women in Sub-Saharan Africa, Oceania and Western Asia still face barriers to entering the schools. The sixth topic is clean water and sanitation. Clean is one of the most important things for people to live. Because of bad economics and poor infrastructure, millions of people died every year by having bad sanitary. It is necessary for people in today’s world that everyone have to use natural resources to produce the things that people need in order to have a better lives and transform the economy. Increasing of the renewable sources is also the purpose of this goal. Petrol, the natural resource that play significant role in modern economy is not renewable energy. That is why we have to find the resources that can be use forever. Nowadays, one in five people in the world still lack of accessing to modern electricity. The eighth topic is about decent work and economic growth. In many places, people still have jobs that do not have ability to escape from poverty. They still live on equivalent of $2 a day. Sustainable economic growth requires the condition that people need to have quality jobs that can stimulate the economy. The main purposes of this goal are increasing the GDP per capita, gross domestic product and reducing unemployment rate. Global unemployment increased from 170 million to 202 million in 2012. Moreover 75 percent of that are young women and men. The ninth goal is about industry, innovation and infrastructure. Increasing of investment in infrastructure and transportation is also one of the ways that can measure the sustainable development.
