The Millennial Views Summary

What View am I?
When I read Tenny 's explanation of 'The Millennial Views ', I thought to myself what view am I? I also pondered, just how much do I really believe and understand the book of Revelation?
First, I do believe it was a revelation from Jesus Christ which God gave to him. There are so many variations of what is the truth. However, God tells us at the beginning of Revelation that he is the author. Therefore, God is the author, Jesus is the Revelation and John is the literal writer.
It is amazing that all through the New Testament there are happenings that fulfill what was written in the Old Testament. No body can write history in advance and tell you exactly what is going to happen in advance but God. If a book written thousands of years ago can tell me what is happening today, I am going to believe God wrote it. When one first starts to study Revelation it appears like something from a different world. It is totally different from any other book of the New Testament. Also, very difficult to understand and apply to todays christain life. Bibicial scholars have been facinated with Revelation for centuries. Many scholars have different opinions. It appears to me that the book of Revelation is about Heaven, Christ second coming and the end of the world as we know it today. Although, written to the seven churches of Asia, Revelation is also for the entire church worldwide.

It appears to me that God would not have just chosen seven specific churches. What about the church at Jersualem, Antioch, Colosse, Corinth, and others. We as christians today can be confident that during this life and the life after, that God has our welfare in his best interests. Revelation was written to provide encouragement and comfort to Gods people. God wanted the church of Paul 's day as well as his children of today to know that he had not abandoned them. He will come for us.
There are so many different versdions of what is the truth. Even in todays church The book of Revelsations is controversal. Everyone has their own opinion of what it means, what the different symbols mean. I believe it is symbolic. I do not believe there will be actual 'monsters '. For example: 'Jesus is going to rule the nations with a 'rod of iron ' (Revelation 19:15). This is not literal, however, he will rule the nations with order. Furthermore, the verse that says he will come in the clouds, I believe is not literal. Of course, all the above is just my opinion and don 't have time in this paper to explain why, however, God does have a plan. His plan is to operate this world with a son and a bride. He started with Adam and Eve but they failed. Ten days after Christ left here the Holy Spirit came to get a bride for Christ. He went back home to the Jews as we have studied. The Jews didn 't accept him so he turned to the Gentiles. Nothing is happening today or in the past that is not suppose to happen. Although all the Jews did not accept Jesus, they are still Gods chosen people. We also have studied about Disporia. From the year of approx 70 BC until the fourteenth day of May 1948, when Israel became a state, the Jews had no government. They had no where on earth to call home. They were

When interpreting the Bible, it is good to use it as a whole, not to take chunks out of it and use what you think should be used and then leave out the things you don’t think is important. It is good to understand the purpose and audience of the Bible along with taking in consideration on when it was written. It is good to remember that the Bible means what it means, and not what we think it means. A good method of interpreting the Bible is by using the Duvall and Hays Interpretive Journey, which is from Grasping God’s Word. In Duvall and Hay’s Interpretation they use four different Journey’s, and in which I will be using all four of those when trying to interpret the passage I have chosen from the book of Revelation.…

Will the Millennials change the future for the better? Well it is not as simple as that, everyone as the potential for great good and great evil and everything in between. Millennials are still devolving their futures and mapping their lives out, deciding what roads or paths to take. Some may take longer than others but most of them will make it, just like most of the Boomers made it, and generation before them. They are changing things for the better as all young adults always will and always have.…

For the follower of King Messiah there comes some many forthright questions which need to be answered in the regards of revelation of the Bible, how the Bible was inspired, and what is the authority of the Bible. 2.) There is nowhere in the text that says this number is to be used to find out the identity of the Antichrist. Most futurist scholars would probably agree that by the time the Mark of the Beast is instituted, it won’t be a huge secret who the Antichrist is, especially to the saints living at the time of the Mark of the Beast. Contextually, it is clear from this passage that the Antichrist has already reached the place where Satan has come down to earth and is possessing the Antichrist (verse 1). The False Prophet is present displaying signs and wonders, and the image of the beast is created to make sure people are worshipping the image of the Antichrist as a god.…

Genesis is the opening book and Revelation is the closing book of the collection of stories called the bible. Genesis and Revelation are similar in many ways, but also contradict each other in an equal numbers of ways. By the end of revelation, God creates a new earth that is holy and does not contain any sin, unlike Genesis in which the new world is filled with sin, satan, curses, tears and death. Revelation also diminishes the need for a sun, and the drive to hide from God because of impurities as well as creates a perfect sun (Life Application Study Bible 2169). Revelation would be a better book to build a society off of because it is written to convince the population of the need to believe in Jesus and it creates an image in the reader’s…

The main goal of The Millennial Tale and Social Sciences was to present the story of the development of Millennialism as part of the American cultural context and how such story changed over the centuries, meaning that the reality on the story is not always encountered in text, in this case the bible, but in the socio-cultural and historical context. A second main goal was to show how social sciences can approach this topic in a much critical manner in order to uncover a fuller context of the story. The third and last goal of the story is to create a sense of wonder in the student who would watch this digital story and prompt her/him to investigate deeper through any discipline in the social science, although not necessarily on the topic of…
