On Orchard Road is a mystery and romance book written by Elsbeth Edgar. This book is an Australian fiction book. The characters are Jane, Miss Harrison, the curious boy and a shy dark-haired coloured girl. In this book are The story is set in Melbourne where Jane’s baby sister is ill in hospital and her mother has to stay with her while Jane and her father move to a small town where she feels lonely and an outsider. The theme of the story is friendship, bullying, creativity, appearance and reality. On Orchard Road is a captivating story about friendships blossoming in unexpected places.
