The Cestus Deception takes place before the second film, and after the first, when Anakin Skywalker has grown up with his mentor and master, Obi-wan Kenobi. Obi-wan is contacted by the Jedi Order, a organization based solely of Jedi Knights. He is granted a mission, to travel to Ord-Cestus, and get In contact with the five families, a group controlling Cestus Cybernetics, whom are creating powerful droids to use in the upcoming Clone Wars. Little does Obi-wan know, the Nefarious Count Dooku is creating these droids for his use. Obi-wan will eventually fall right into the hands of Dooku, and events transpire into the 3rd film.

The planet was once completely dominated by a race called X'Ting, which are now only reduced down a population little over a thousand, due to a mysterious disease. Its economy is dependent on Cestus Cybernetics, and will destroy the economy if it is to be done the same. The planet is harsh, barren, and will outright kill you if you aren't mindful of the surrounding environment. Obi-wan a Jedi Nautolan going by the name Kit Fisto, and a group of clone troopers led by A-98 ("Nate" for reference) come to the discordant planet to discuss politics and recruit
