There are many aspects about this advertisement that interest me. Primarily, I find it odd that the viewer cannot see the man sitting in the chair as the woman stands powerfully over him. Immediately, I notice that the color of the night sky view is the same color as the bottle of vodka in the left corner of the photo. I also observed how the white chair acts as a background for the bottle and makes the blue pop out; it is highlighted. I was able to recognize that the attention starts at the woman, moves down towards the shaker, then to the cup, and finally to the alcohol (which is the marketed item). The company is simply attempting to get people to buy their products, and their photo definitely catches the eye of the spectators. I believe that all portions add to the purpose of the text. Skyy Vodka is basically saying that if you drink their products, you are classy. This builds the impression that the audience could be exactly like the woman in the photo. Even at a glance, the place and setting looks expensive. The bottle matches the view which leaves the notion that it is elegant and high class liquor. They are trying to build the image that the product is worthy, even though it is not of high quality at
