One day two siblings could be the best of friends, and a week later they could be mute towards each other. Of course, siblings will fight; it’s in human nature, but to anticipate the relationship of siblings of their forthcoming is difficult. In “Sonny’s Blues”, Sonny is the younger brother who is repeatedly getting himself into to trouble by being in and out of jail, which goes for Paul as well, in A River Runs Through It. Paul and Sonny both are addicted to either drugs or drinking, and they need help but they refuse to receive the help needed. Both brothers Norman and the Narrator reach out to their younger brother, resulting in denial and their brother acting different around them to hide their problems and the tough situations they are
