The Jordan Standard is the prerequisite in which all members must meet or exceed to qualify for the Sigma Chi pledge program. In the Standard it professes the ideals in which the Fraternity stands for such as A man of Good Character, A Student of Fair Ability, Possessed of Good Morals, and finally A High Sense of Honor, and A Deep Sense of Personal Responsibility.
In the Standard it is a bare minimum requirement. It which the Standard is meant to be built upon. In the Creed and the Standard they share the ideas of making The Sigma Chi Fraternity better than it was in the past.

The Sigma Chi Creed is a promise to uphold the name of Sigma Chi to the highest Standard possible. It is a promise to be a man during pledge ship who can build upon
