Position Statement: Membership Selection
Kappa Kappa Gamma is a single-gender organization comprised of women and individuals who identify as women whose governing documents do not discriminate in membership selection except by requiring good scholarship and ethical character. All chapters are expected to adhere to these documents.

Members of the committee educate chapter members about how to make the most of the academic resources on campus and serve as mentors for members who may require additional assistance. The members of the Academic Excellence
Committee are supported by their local adviser and the District Academic
Excellence Specialist.

When we’re selected to colonize a new chapter, we immediately begin training local alumnae to ensure they are confident in their advisory roles. All advisers receive ongoing training through webinars and workshops and have access to additional resources, including an Advisory Board Specialist who is assigned to the district.
We know it’s not enough to train advisers and volunteers about how Kappa operates. The advisers must also be in tune with Coastal Carolina students and the expectations placed on them by the university. We are committed to ensuring a support team is poised to make the greatest impact.
Our professional staff at Kappa Kappa Gamma Headquarters mirrors our volunteer structure. This team consists of subject-matter experts in core areas, including risk management, alumna relations, educational and leadership programming, philanthropy, public and media relations, and finance.
