In the essay, “Relationships and Technology,” by Joseph A. DeVito, he wrote about the advantages and disadvantages of singles using online dating. It is easier now to find a date when you are single and it is less complicated to put yourself out there. This is like relationships formed through face to face contact and it gives someone the opportunity to get to know the person even more before going on a date with them.
Friendships and other relationships can also be formed through the internet faster and with bigger numbers than without the internet. The internet is a new stepping stone for dating, friendships, and even networking with coworkers at a job. The world is now online and ready for this next step.
