This critical reflective account will discuss the development of me as a leader and manager within my health profession and my team, over the course of The Mary Seacole Programme. I have identified my leadership strengths and my personal development. This course has encouraged me to reflect upon my vision and style of management, and has allowed me to further identify areas that I will need to enhance into making me a more versatile leader. Part 1 Developing my leadership skills is important for me given the circumstances that as a first time leader whose job role previously didn’t involve having a team managed by myself, to a position now who manages or interact extensively with staff and patients daily, therefore during my time undertaking…
The purpose of this body of work was to address medication errors and safe medication administration practices in relation to practicing nurses and nursing students via several different approaches. These different approaches will be presented as three separate papers but interrelated themes. The specific purpose for each paper and the corresponding research questions were addressed individually in each chapter. The approach used in the first paper was a systematic literature search of medication administration errors and the pediatric population; five themes emerged including the incidence rate of medication administration errors, specific medications involved in medication administration errors and classification of the errors, why medication…
Reflective Analysis Case Report Component Paper Worldview is responsible for how we think and how we make decisions on a daily basis. It is a “set of assumptions, presuppositions, unconsciously held but affect how we think and live” (Cosgrove, 2006, p. 20). It is imperative to understand that every person have their own worldview. Worldviews vary from culture to culture, and religious beliefs. For one to not recognize that the worldview of others differ from one’s own beliefs opens oneself up to discrimination against others.…
I am now half way through with Summer Session II and the transition between high school and college has been exciting, but also overwhelming. A few differences I have noticed between my high school classes and my college classes are the size difference, the diversity in students, and the faster pace. In my high school, the average number of students in each class was about 25 to 35 compared to my biggest class now at about 200 students. Additionally, the students in my class before were mainly Hispanic, but now everywhere I look I am able to see people of different cultures and that is something that is so important to me. The reason for this is that, while I did not grow up in a diverse area, I believe that growing up around different people…
Introduction Definitions of intelligence vary among scholars, theorists, and laypersons, due to its multidimensionality. However, intelligence typically involves an individual’s ability to learn from experience and adapt to the environment in which they live. I believe that the construct of intelligence should encompass an individual’s ability to effectively communicate in both written and verbal form, to think logically, and to express creativity. Two intelligence tests in which I recently had the opportunity to take and score included the Shipley Institute of Living Scale-2 and the Wonderlic Personnel Test.…
but I did not know much about my client at the time. However, after the session and speaking with my supervisor I became more knowledgeable on his cultural background and this made our future art therapy sessions go much smoother. He felt very comfortable in creating art with me and found a value of respect while we communicated…

Ada Evbuomwan Mid Semester Reflection A large portion of the class has been focused on diversity and inclusion. Due to my previous education in college level sociology and psychology courses, my knowledge on my social identities did not change. Final Summative Reflection What assignments/topics created the greatest impression on you in a positive manner? Explain The lesson that created the most impact in a positive manner was the family staff relationships, and virtual field experience. As a future teacher we need to learn to have effective communication with not only other staff members but also with the parents of the children in our classrooms. In currently working in a school setting it gave me better tools to be more effective when having conversations with parents or other staff members.…

For my MFT 507class, I was in a group with Elizabeth and Jaime. We did a vignette to practice what we have learned in class and imply it in the therapy session. We switched roles and always treated each other with kindness and respect. I will refer Jaime as Debby, so there will not be any confusion.…
Practicum Reflection During my education courses I had learned many different concepts, teaching strategies, and covered numerous topics involving the process of teaching. For the first time I was able to put everything I had learned into practice. My practicum was one of the best learning experiences I have experienced as a student. I learn the best when I am doing something hands on, so for me to actually be able to teach and take over the classes I was able to learn a lot.…
Reflection When signing up to take the Final Project Course this fall I was extremely nervous and not excited to start. Walking into the first day of class and learning more about what the final project would entail, I did feel slightly better but still scared that it was going to be too overwhelming and hard to complete by myself. Luckily, the individual meetings and emails with my professor made everything much more clear and inviting. These final project meetings were very helpful in terms of receiving constructive criticism and then going back home to make changes to the paper.…
Introduction Dwight D Eisenhower once said, "The art of getting someone else to do something you want done because he wants to do it," is my philosophy on how I like to lead my people. For both my military and police career, I use this mentality when directing those who work for me. I have personally seen the results of my employees doing things because they want to do it and not because it's a requirement of their job. The satisfaction of teaching your folks and watching them grow throughout the years is a feeling of great accomplishment. Leadership Behaviors…
Introduction For the purposes of this assignment, I wanted to interview an advisor and observe a session in an environment that I was not already familiar with. When offered the chance to learn more about the Kortschak Center For Learning and Creativity at USC and observe a session there, I thought this would be a great opportunity to expand my knowledge. Advisor Interview Title and Experience…
