When this happened I was very shocked as they merged just a bit too close to me and I had to use my breaks to accommodate their irrational behavior. I was amazed at the lack of consideration for the person behind them, they relied on my ability to respond quickly and adapt to the situation they presented. The person who sped past me again merged into the slow lane, passing someone, and then they passed the car which was originally ahead of me. They weaved between cars repeatedly not using their blinker. I saw both cars they passed brake when they merged in front of them. This behavior depends and expects the reaction time of the person they are passing to be good enough that they can recognize the situation and then react accordingly. This doesn’t take into account the fact that some people won’t be able to react as fast. They may be a new driver and are not confident in their ability to counter the positions they have been put in. I checked my speedometer to see if maybe I was going just a tad too fast, I was going 74 miles per hour. I slowed down a bit to get to just 70 and I was still getting very close. I decided it would be best to pass them if they are moving so slow as that is very dangerous on the highway. I merged into the passing, passed them, and then merged back. I noticed while passing that the slow car only had one car ahead of them, and they were pretty far away. I don’t understand how unattentive you have to be while driving to not realize how slow you are going. Sure there may be times where you are going a bit slow but you always have to correct yourself. You should be paying attention to both the road and others around you, as well as your speedometer. Whether you’re going to fast or too slow you should always correct yourself to protect others lives on your
