Driving above the speed is not only dangerous but also something that has to be handled nation wide. Deaths have risen in recent years because of drivers who carelessly don't look at their speed limits or the speed they are driving at. It is not only important for one's life but for other people's lives, their families, their vehicles. People don't seem to understand they are putting so much more at risk than just themselves. Nearly 1.3 million people die in road crashes each year, on average 3,287 deaths a day. An additional 20-50 million are injured or disabled.
Citations and tickets are given by law enforcement when one is speeding or doing anything else illegal for that matter. The tickets will accumalate and somebody can have their license suspended after so many of them and it takes money in order to remove the tickets and get your license back. When a person has so many traffic tickets they also have to pay more for their insurance. The rate goes up about 50% after this. If any law enforcement agent stops you and gives you a citation you would have to pay for the amount given to you and you would have to appear in front of a judge or even go to court for the same reason. I was going below the limit, suddenly i turned and this truck was coming my way with no intention of stopping. I believe that the reason he couldn't stop was for the high speed limit he was going on, I was lucky enough to not get in a deadly accident but my car was a total
