If you are throwing a special school or neighborhood event, a fun machine to rent is a cotton candy machine. Cotton candy is one of those mythical childhood treats that you only encounter at special events that every child should get to taste and discover. If you have a special event coming up, you can rent a cotton candy machine and provide the children at your school and neighborhood with this essential childhood experience. Here is what you need to know in order to operate a cotton candy machine.

Necessary Supplies

If the rental place does not supply the food for the machine, you will need to purchase 100% beet or pure cane sugar for the cotton candy machine. These types of sugars will work the best with the machine. Although you can use

To start with, you'll want to take a damp cloth and use it moisten the inside part of the floss pan. The strands that make up the cotton candy swirl are referred to as floss. The moisture will help the floss stick to the pan.

After you moisten the pan, pour the supplies into the floss pan per the directions on the machine and turn on the machine. There should be a top plate that goes on top of the floss pan. This plate will help keep the air flowing and will aid in the creation of the cotton candy. In order to create more cotton candy, twist the top upward, and in order to reduce the flow of the cotton candy, twist the pan downward.

As the floss pan begins to spin, it will start to spit out the candy floss. You'll want to take a cone and move it around the outside barrel of the machine to pick up the floss. You may need to take the cone around the outside of the barrel a couple of times to cover it with cotton candy.

You may want to work on this a few times before you have customers. You'll need to move the cone up and down in order to get that fluffy ball look and it can take a little trail and error to learn how to do
