The charecters were my second most faveourire pert of the play. Seeing the people in the background interact with each other brought (what I thought) another dimension withing the play’s performance. Hubert Jackoby wrote: “When a play is more than just the front stage, that is true dimensional theatere.” They mirrored real life, and their reactions were very fun to watch. One of my faveourite background charcters was the nosy newspaper man.
I understand that with many people in a play it’s hard to make all of the voices clear, but when some of the actors were talking I couldn’t make out what they were trying to say. From the first scene when you questioned it’s existance, to the last scene when you were emotionally invetsted in it’s beautiful cameo performance. Despite it’s doubters, (Carrie’s husband) The Manhole perservered and put on what I believe to be the performance of it’s life.
