America has struggled for many years with terrorists, but now the fear of terrorists has risen. For many, there are no ties of terrorism and Syrian refugees; others say that the terrorists have nothing to do with Syria. As you read this I will explain the past and where it has brought the refugees, why we should not support the entrance, but also continue to explain the view of other who are pro entrance of the refugees.
It has been estimated that 9 million Syrians have departed their homeland due to the outbreak of civil war in March of 2011. ("Timeline." Syrian Refugees.Web.1 Dec. 2015.) Those who fled have faced disease and struggled to take in basic needs for their families. After much movement, many refugees decided to settle in places near their homeland, like Jordan and Turkey. Others have taken the opportunity to live in Europe. A recent report, from Dr. Ben Carson's visit to Jordan to meet up with the refugees, say that the refugees would like to return home safely to their homeland. Now, due to the civil war, a new generation of terrorism threatens countries worldwide.

We can move them to an American controlled territory, or simply send then supplies and a troop or two of our army to protect them. By helping the refugees from a distance instead of directly on American soil, we can keep America safer than if we were to let them in. The process to accept refugees is very lengthy and detailed, but for someone that really wants in just to bomb America or even train people to do it for ISIL can still get through. These terrorists, to remind you, do have Syrian passports. As for background checks, we don't have over half of these people's backgrounds. Even if a refugee has a background, it wouldn't mean that they weren't with
