GMOs are very common and most of us include them in our daily meals. The most common Genetically Modifies Foods are corn, soybeans, potatoes, papaya, squash, canola, and milk. One of the benefits of GMOs is the use of fewer pesticides, meaning, "The adoption of GM insect resistant and herbicide tolerant technology has reduced pesticide spraying by 553 million kg (-8.6%) and, as a result, decreased the environmental impact associated with herbicides and insecticides"(Maria). Knowing that GMOs keep the products i consume are free of pesticides is reassuring. The less chemicals the better.
