If you woke up Thursday morning and were freaked out by the reports that four Ohio State players had been suspended for the season opener against Virginia Tech, then you should go back to bed, lay down and take a nap, because this isn't much of a headline. First off, clearly the biggest loss is Joey Bosa, a possible number one overall pick, and the leader of the Ohio State defense. Adolphus Washington will likely hold down the defensive line, put he won't be without help. Don't be surprised if Jalyn Holmes a former 4-Star defensive end from Virginia makes an impact, he's not Bosa but is talent and has played well when given snaps. Also, Ohio State …show more content…
You may have heard of Braxton Miller, he's a two-time Offensive Player of the Year for the Big Ten, and a former Heisman Candidate. Well, this past month, the self appointed best athlete in college football, decided to switch positions to a hybrid wide receiver, amid shoulder injuries and a three way quarterback controversy, that college football has never seen the likes of before. With Wilson and Marshall out, Miller will get thrown into the spotlight at H-Back sooner than maybe thought, and he'll be a dangerous weapon. If you thought Urban Meyer did great things with Percy Harvin, imagine what he can do with Miller, who already knows the playbook, maybe a better athlete than Harvin, and Meyer has said that Miller will be a "impact player", and is working hard to get better even calling him a top five "grinder" on the team. Plus, Miller won't be the number one option like Harvin, as defenses will have to account for Ezekiel Elliot and whoever lines up at quarterback as the first two

Ohio State The Buckeyes saw their College Football Playoff hopes disappear when Michigan State Spartans kicker Michael Geiger hit a 41-yard field goal as time expired in the Horseshoe on Nov. 21. Despite the fact Urban Meyer's team would no longer hold a top four ranking, the loss to Michigan State may have been the best thing that happened to Ohio State this season. WVU also added Reggie Roberson and Dominique Maiden to the fold at wide receiver. Roberson has a special skill set that Holgorsen likes in his receivers but Maiden could benefit the most with his size (6'6) especially in the red zone. Again though don't forget that West Virginia will also have electrifying threat Steven Smothers, who redshirted last season. Requiem For The Big East is about a great conference that dominated men’s college basketball for a long time of the past 35 years, held the highest conference tournament at New York’s Madison Square Garden. It’s too satisfying in the long run, continually returning to the final Syracuse/Georgetown conference matchup in the semifinal of the 2013 Big East tournament. Conferences like the Pac-12, the Big Ten, and ACC that have had relatively equal success in football and basketball are still standing. And it’s sad that the Big East, the main event for the northeast basketball schools that often didn’t have the best campuses of state universities elsewhere in the country, was forced to participate in an athletic revenue…
