Improved Essays
The following year was my junior season on the lacrosse team. That year was the first year lacrosse was a school sanctioned sport at Madeira High School. This was a big deal for all of us on the team and especially for us who had started the team years before. We made a school sport at our school which is a very rare feat. This definitely helped with our chemistry on the field. We basically knew what the other was going to do before we did it. This led to many assists to each other over the course of the season. My first team I played on was the Macomb Vengeance. I played for them for two years and i'm still friends with 2 of the kids on the team Jose and Jacob. Jose and Jacob are both thin, and athletic, they're both funny, and they both have short hair. Jose has his ears pierced, and Jacob is short. Even though we don't play on same team we're still friends and we still talk.…

We were all glad to have placed well, but were overall disappointed in losing first place by one measly point. Setting the mood for remembering our countless failures and long practices, the seniors went around the group, giving each member of the team their own little speech. When they got to me, every single senior noted how much I had changed over the season. Listening to them recount the season to me, it truly hit me how different I was compared to the beginning of the season. Senior speeches had opened a book of memories for me.…

In grade school I played on a club team called the Jets. We were coached by Jeff Lanter and we played together from third grade to freshman year. Players came and went but we always had the same three constants: Britney, T, Sophie, and me. I never thought I would grow so close to people I didn’t even see on a daily basis because we didn’t even practice, just entered tournaments and somehow always managed to come out with a win. These four girls are a riot and although we don’t all talk anymore, I will never forget them.…

Even volleyball had made me, Jaiden, Elena, and Aaliyah closer it was fun to have my best friends with me at games and practices. I remember Jayden's mom would take me to games with Jaiden and we would always get food before the game.
