"Ouch!" Josephine had cut herself, making a sandwich, once again. Sticking her cut finger under running water she called out to her husband, "Earle, can you please get me one of those wonderful bandages you make. "This is the last one and we don't even have anymore gauze or cotton, so you better not get hurt again until I can get my hands on some more," I said handing her a piece of cotton on some adhesive tape and gauze. "I'll try to get some from work today, if James isn't breathing down my neck again, like he was yesterday." "Do you mind if you finished making your sandwhich, I hope you know I have to get to work too," Josephine said as she quickly applied the bandage herself. "Fine," I replied, "but I'm already late, and I think James …show more content…
It's a pretty safe place, but if someone catches me, it would be the last person on the earth I would want to find me. I couldn't think of anywhere else that I could hide in the whole building though.mimwould have to take a chance. I slunk around, really close to the walls, hoping no one would notice me. A few people glanced in my direction, but thankfully seemed to think nothing of it. I finally made it to the room, I've never been in the room, in fact I don't know anyone who ever was other than James and his brothers who occasionally come. I slowly opened the door peaking inside, praying no one was in there. All I saw were boxes stacked on boxes, but as far as I could tell, no people. I dashed into the room, hid behind a stack of boxes and suddenly realized I can't stay in here all day, but I also couldn't take the box back out with me. I could make the bandages right here if only I had some adhesive tape. I rummaged through the boxes, hoping to find some. I found some in the fourth box I looked in and I had to get to work. I took a piece of crinoline and covered one side of it with adhesive tape. Then, I slowly applied a layer of gauze, hoping to make it as precise as possible, ripping of any extra that hung over the edge. Just as I was applying some cotton to the middle of the long strip, I heard the door open and …show more content…
"You simply take the whole strip and cut off how much you need, then you take off the crinoline, which keeps the sticky part sticky, and simply apply it, so that the cotton goes right over the wound." "So simple, yet no one has ever thought of anything like it," he muttered so quietly I could barely hear. "Come here, we are going to go to my brothers and the board and tell them all about it." I was so happy, I just knew I would get paid a fortune for this. Imagine what would have happened if I kept it in the family, if I kept this a secret. We entered another section of the building where you could find anyone important in the Johnson&Johnson company. Right away people started looking at me and wondering what I did to deserve to be here. Well they didn't have to worry much longer. "Listen up guys," James started to say, "our next big product is standing right here in front of us." A few people snickered, not believing the least productive worker for the company that would be the first one to be kicked out, if they weren't short on workers, actually did something that James was proud of. I had no idea what to say now that everyone was looking straight at me. All I could get out was a few words, "I have made a bandage to keep your cuts and other wounds
