Never Give Up On Your Goal The final school bell rang. I just got done with gym and walked into the locker room to put on my Hillsborough High School soccer jersey. This was just one game in my freshman season and was expected to be like any other. We were expected to win as our record proved that we were a strong and athletic team.
I am ready for the game with my soccer bag packed with my gatorade and training gear. My other teammates begin to fill in the locker room preparing for the game too. I checked the team job list to see if I had to get any supplies ready before we went out to the field. I searched the list and saw that my name was not on it. I go to walk outside and wait for the rest of the team to be ready. As I am walking out

There was four minutes left and all we had to do was just defend. In those four minutes, Montgomery went on a huge offensive. Rory was able to take another shot from far out which went wide to the left of the net. The referee loudly blew his whistle three times signifying the end of the game.
We won. The players on the field ran over to the bench to celebrate with the rest of the team. When I went over to the bench, I received so many “Great game” and “Good job”s. I went over to Robbie and told him that he played very well because without him we would not have stood a chance in the game.
We did our cooldown by running across the field and then stretched. As a team, we walked back on the gravel path to the locker room confidently and talking the whole way back. I went back into the locker room to get my school stuff, and on my way out Coach congratulated me again. As I was walking out, I heard Coach Spencer telling the other Coach, Coach Longo, about the game. It was a great feeling that people were sharing the story of a hard working and successful game. Now I have more confidence in myself and if I am given a shot at something, I will take
