It was found that Self help group and social support help the patients to accept their medical condition and adapt to newly formed lifestyle arising from the disease model. The patients who lacked social support tend to be more stressed, anxious and showed more level of distress, (Simpson et al. 2006). It was also seen the self-help group helps the patients to accept the consequences of the disease whereas the others without the support of self group use denial mechanism,(Barrow and Charlton,
