Obama Persuasive Speech

Improved Essays
I’m very, very strong with every issue, so I always make the best policies, but the FAKE NEWS media thinks I’m trying to destroy America with my policies. That’s crazy! Obama was the one who was trying to destroy America while I inherited the HUGE MESS he made with his heinous policies.

A great example of a terrible policy is the HUGE disaster known as Obamacare. Former President Obama gave millions of Americans cheap and affordable health care. Selfish loser! What about the insurance companies that are losing money due to the low prices? I want to help every American and every insurance company by repealing and replacing Obamacare with Trumpcare.

Let me show you how Trumpcare will look in our great country. A man—let’s call him Low-Energy

ObamaCare’s Painful Woes Once President Obama became president of the United States of America, he had one goal in mind, which was to forever change American health care insurance so that everyone could be covered. What he was unable to realize was that there would be many detriments to this legislation. Preposterous tax and health care hikes unaffordable to businesses and the middle-class, which is the majority of the American population, would ultimately contaminate the American economy and people.…

Obamacare is a major thorn in the rectum of those who oppose it. The main reason behind this is because Republicans are so gung-ho on dismantling President Obama's Legacy, hence they can't focus on a sensible alternative for Obamacare. It is quite obvious that the Affordable Care Act (ACA) is not perfect, but it is successful in getting millions of uninsured Americans insured, which is a good thing. Now, with the Republicans' ACA replace and repeal proposal, some 22 million Americans will become uninsured and forcforced to purchase private insurance, which may be unaffordable, because it will affect the marginalized population and the elderly more so. My understanding of one of the numerous differences between Obamacare and Trump-don't-care…

The slogan that propelled Donald Trump into his influence across the nation, “make America great again,” shows that Trump sees America has fallen downhill and has hopes to improve it. Trump wants to see this country go back to the prosperous country it once was, but he does not know how to filter his words according to most, which makes him seem frightening. Despite Clinton’s accusation about the risk of Donald Trump, his clever use of scare tactics gives voters a sense of security because of his ideas concerning immigration and terrorism. According to Molly Ball, author of “Donald Trump and the Politics of Fear,” Donald Trump uses fear to his advantage in hopes of winning the presidential election.…

Brian: Good evening everyone and tonight we look how real estate billionaire mogul Donald Trump became America’s first postmodern president, mocked and then broke every rule about how to run for office. John: That’s right Brian, Trump’s long road to the White House, as a crass, arrogant, buffoonish, ruthless, and mean-spirited individual. He made fun of his opponents’ intelligence or physical appearance, delivering insults with the zest of a poor comedian. Tim: "Make America Great Again."…

Obamas speech was calculated and structured with many rhetorical strategies playing to his favor, so that his overall message was easily communicated, and both viewers and possible voters were able to understand and connect with his ideas. Two rhetorical strategies that seemed to aide his speech the most were the use of pathos and repetition. His reasoning for choosing these were probably due to the fact that this was his first speech as an official presidential candidate, and he wanted to be persuasive and precise on exactly what the forefront of his campaign was about and what he plans to do if elected. Where pathos appeals to ones emotion, it allows for a connection on a more personal level, which ultimately would further a greater sense of purpose or reason to get involved in what could be done. Obama said, “Beneath all the differences of race…

I can clearly remember being 11 and sitting in my advanced writing class, staring at a magazine on a shelf. The cover featured Barack Obama standing behind a podium and a headline about the 2008 election. I recall wondering what the difference between Republican and Democrat was and why it even mattered so much. I was in 5th grade with no concept of politics besides what we had discussed in class and nothing past the Civil War. Eight years later, with the 2016 election coming up fast, I understand so much more about the world and its complexities.…
