Registered nurses uphold the nursing profession on a various number of professional and moral grounds, including abiding by the code of dress. According to a recent study, it has been suggested that nurses are more easily pinpointed when wearing the colour white (Porr C et al, 2014). This entails that the colour white may be associated with professionalism in a health care setting, and also, easy recognition on a global scale. In a separate study (Albert N.M et al, 2008) the same idea is mirrored, in that nurses who don a white uniform with a stethoscope, are also linked with traits such as being caring, diligent, and approachable. In terms of nurses' attire, the level of cleanliness of the uniform has a direct impact on the patients perception
