What makes me different or unique is I enjoy helping people. When I notice someone is struggling, I reach out to them. I try to offer assistance about what they are having trouble with, and help them so they don’t have that problem anymore. Additionally, I love to read and write. I have the ability to absorb and apply abstract principles and transfer points of learning to other fields and applications. I apply reason, logic, and emotional aspects in equal proportions to find the best possible solution for problems. I have excellent time management and multitasking skills. I have always been able to complete tasks before they are expected from me and this is most likely due to my ability to multitask. I am able to focus not only on school, but also on extracurricular activities, while still having time to rest and relax. I love being different and not fitting stereotypes. I'm rather pleased to be myself and know that I am unique and different. I have great self-esteem and good confidence which makes me willing to seek out and accept challenges. Furthermore, I'm not afraid of failure. In fact, I think it is an essential part of the experimental process that gets you to success. I like to view my mistakes as an opportunity to learn and improve. I love the motto, “If at first, you don’t succeed, try, try, try again” by Thomas H. Palmer. There are going to be times in life that you will fail, of course no one wants to, but it is an aspect everyone is forced to deal with. However, it is not the fact that you failed that matters, how you treat your failures is what’s important. You must be a resilient person in order to not give up. You must be prepared to try again, and again, until you achieve your goal in order to truly succeed. Moreover, I find it important to accept your mistakes and take responsibility for them. Don’t blame anyone for your mistakes, except for yourself. Only through admission of a mistake can you move the focus away from blame, and toward understanding of where you went wrong. Another quote that I stand by is, “Your best teacher …show more content…

Africa has made exponential development and economic growth over the past few years but Africa’s overall performance has been slow due to health markers. Some of these health indicators include insufficient human resources, constant inequalities, weak statistical health data, insufficient monitoring and evaluation capacity and insufficient internal and external resources. I decided to analyze the healthcare issues in Africa rather than analyze other issues in Africa because I wanted to better understand the implications prohibiting Africa from becoming a healthier place for its citizens before taking initiative to better this situation. Since health is a component of human capital, it is often considered a factor of wealth as well. The close connection between health and wealth has been emphasized in a recent paper by Pritchett and Summers (1996) who studied a…
