The wolf is represented by the s’klallam tribe because in the tale, mink didn’t want to share with wolf and even though wolf sneaked his catch away; he still left mink with something. This was interesting to me because in real life, even when the settlers didn’t want to share the land with tribes, most of the tribes tried to help and assist them. This story can be interpreted however one thinks it should be interpreted. If one were to read this tale, it would behove of them to research the tribe like myself to get a good idea of the origin and then connect that with your interpretation.…

Never Cry Wolf Response Journal Rafid Mirza Farley Mowat has often been accused of fabricating statistics and other facts in his novels. Write an entry explaining your thinking on this subject. My opinion of Farley Mowat fabricating statistics and facts is that Mowat tries to tell the truth. However, he still may have “modified” some of the statistics. The reason why he did this was probably to get his point across.…

Wolves are viewed as evil predators and are usually used to reference negative human behaviors. Such as rudely “wolfing” down food or “wolf whistling”, which references the way a man whistles at a woman in a derogatory manner. This perception of wolves may have widely encouraged the creation of the werewolf, a murdering, and torturing composite creature. That embodies the impulsive and unreasoning side of an animal and the violent and dangerous side of humans.…

The audience for my reimaging tale is people who understand business and politics. This story is indirectly for everyone but the major understanding comes from economic aspects and a dictatorial rule. The way I choose this audience is the same way I choose my theme because the theme of a story changes the "audience”. Also I wanted to make a story for an audience that perceives a short folktale as a larger and more detailed story since the original "The boy who cried wolf" was a moral lesson for children but how about I do reimagining this story but for adults who are sometimes as vulnerable as kids when it comes to money, power and wealth.…

Although Buck loved John enough to do anything for him, the Call still sounded in him, beckoning him to join the wild and become a wolf. “But in spite of this great love he bore John Thornton, which seemed to bespeak the soft, civilizing influence; the strain of the primitive, which the Northland had aroused in him, remained alive and active” (London 76). Although he loved Thornton greatly, the wild still called to him, and pulsated deep inside…
