Problem:
Electrolytes are what helps, mainly athletes keep a high amount of energy during any type of physical activity. Many liquids such as water are important because of hydration, but does not contain any type of electrolytes. Therefore water doesn’t help someone involved in physical activity increase energy. There are many different solutions to electrolytes, and if an athlete has an imbalance of too many electrolytes can cause health problems for the future. Just drinking the product itself can cause major deficiencies in the future.

What are the positives and negatives of electrolytes and sports drinks and how can I make a modified version of a sports drink?

Hypothesis: Find the key components of the greatest replenishing electrolyte drinks and modify more drinks toward all natural drinks.

Literary Review: The majority of the people that drink, sports drinks such as Gatorade and Powerade, are not involved in athletic activity, and enough to be heavily sweating. According to the Berkeley study, people who drink Gatorade once or more a day are not as physical as they should be. Berkeley also states disadvantages are a concern for children because they aren’t being active drinking these products and the extra calories are being executed as a one way street to obesity. In some cases sugar is an advantage towards long periods of lost sweat. This is because sugar can also help give better endurance and energy. If there is too much sugar in the drink, then it can cause many problems, one example would be high blood pressure. Too much sugar can also delay the drink to be absorbed.

If too much electrolytes are consumed, then the body won't store it for later. The body uses those electrolytes molecules even if when not needed.

The large advertising business that helps make a name for these brands, is meant to trigger the big name athletes and professionals that are most desperate to help their game in any kind of way.
