Everyone has goals they want to accomplish or complete in the future. Whatever it may be, if it's extremely important, that you must attain it, you will do all you can to achieve it. You will give it all you have to prevail, if you truly want to accomplish it. Having the passion and desire to succeed is what keeps me pushing to attain my goal. My goal is to play basketball in college; although, my ultimate goal is to play professional basketball for the WNBA (The Women's National Basketball Association). There are skills I must develop and many challenges to overcome, but my love for the game keeps my mind on track to succeed. The game of basketball is important to me because I have been playing it since before kindergarten. I love the excitement and exhilaration of winning and working hard. Ever since I was four I've played numerous sports, since then I have always had that competitive fire burning in my heart with the desire to win. As I stopped playing certain sports and stared up with new ones, I never stopped playing basketball. I could spend hours, day or night, playing and shooting around whenever, wherever. Facing adversity and overcoming these challenges builds mental strength and confidence. I've already had two major injuries in my basketball career that included two surgeries and about five to six months of recovery. This amount of time away from the game made me realize how much I love playing! I was working three times a week in physical therapy to get back to full strength. I was pushing myself then and now so I could return to the court as quickly as possible. All throughout my injury I attended my team practice and local games to support them during the season. After recovering from these injuries, I know I can handle anything thrown my way. Looking back on this experience I've realized when you stop doing what you love, you will do anything to reacquire
