My College Goals

Google 's definition for goals is the object of a person 's ambition or effort; an aim or desired result. There are three main types of goals in life. Those goals are long term, short term, and personal goals. Setting goals will help you succeed in the future so you can become an accomplished person in life. Goals need to be specific and reasonable. Many goals of the people today are unrealistic and impossible that is why very few succeed at achieving their goals and becoming successful. This is one of the greatest and most important goals I have because it has such a huge impact on my future and my career/personal goals. This goal is a goal that I really control all of the factors for, in other words I am fully responsible for this goal. It doesn’t involve anyone else. I have always thought that I will be able to fly through college but I have found that I was very wrong. My brother is in college and just finished his freshman year. He said it was nothing like highschool because it’s a lot tougher and you are on your own. So his experience changed my thoughts a lot. My second college goal is to get into medical school. I am the only one in my family that is really interested in the medical field. It has always been a goal of mine to get into medical school. Getting into Medical school is extremely important to me because I want to be a doctor of some sort in the future. So obviously I need to get into medical school. This is difficult though because I have looked up the acceptance rate and the qualifications you need and it isn’t gonna be easy. I feel that it is probably my most difficult goal. I would like to be a doctor of some sort. I know that is not very specific but that is really all I could narrow my goal down to. I am breaking one of the rules of goals but I have 8 more years to decide what medical field I would like to be in so I feel I will be okay. This goal is really important because it is my whole entire career and the goal all of my goals have been leading up too. Every decision I make is going to effect this goal, so I need to pull it together in high school. My second personal goal is to travel the world. This goal is very broad and i would like to keep it that way. I don’t want to write down one place I want to go all over. I want to see some of the most historic and beautiful places on the earth. This is very big because I feel like having knowledge of other cultures would help me understand and give me a better understanding for everything. This is a goal that I feel will change my life
