I was always a very soft spoken person. I was never one to speak out and have my opinion heard, because I believed it didn’t matter. However, after my brother overcame his own fears to pursue what he wanted, I realized that I could too. I began to speak out more when I disagreed with people, and even though it wasn’t easy, I realized people respected me more for it. At times, people would push off my opinions and tell me I was wrong, and I was stupid for having the opinions that I did. This was hard to deal with at first, but over time, I have grown accustomed to these insults, and I am now almost completely unbothered by them. I can now hold my own in any argument, even with someone as stubborn as my brother.
In the end, I believe my brother will always be one of the most important people in my life. He has shown me what hard work truly is, how to achieve my goals, and how important it is to always be heard, Even though we didn’t always get along, my brother and I have become very close to one another.
