At times, when I was not loaded with heavy tasks, I tried to organize and sort some files of my office to not consume considerable of time over finding tiny information. This attitude gave the other the misunderstanding that I would have to organize their files as well. I recall that once the lady who was hired recently asked me to organize her files, and office the day she was not at work. I didn’t say anything to her, but went directly to the accountant and asked her whether this is defined in the realm of accounts payable clerk responsibilities or not. I told the accountant that if this is my responsibility I would do it with great pleasure. I experienced another challenge in that business, since everyone knew that I would be there for a short period, some of them would ask me to do their assigned administrative tasks, or the accounts receivable clerk would call me to help her in their work as much as I can. After my request from the accountant of the Company regarding to clarify the scope of my duties, she nicely threw a meeting and explained to everyone my duties as an intern. This position gave me the opportunity to be in direct touch with the vendors, to talk with them and reconcile some issues. As I knew the gained academic knowledge is just the fundament of our prospective career in a professional setting. These are hard skills that we gain during academic years; however, there are soft skills that we need to improve them in a professional setting, and there is no way to improve them but being in a real work field. During the internship I recognized that I need to enhance my communication skills.
