It was the first week of class at University of North Carolina. I was already in college and attending one of my first freshman classes in a large auditorium. I remember that the college was UNC in particular because some people were wearing shirts and sweaters from the bookstore. It was dark outside even though the sun should have been out since I was going to class and doing things that I would normally always do during the day. There were lots of different characters in my dream, most of them were in my class. I remember that I never actually knew what was going on, neither did I try to. I just followed the rest of the group, and it seemed to work very well. I wasn’t the only one who was from overseas, so it was easy to relate to some of my friends. On the other hand, I had some advantages. I was the fastest runner in the class, and always impressed classmates with my artistic talents.…

Good evening everyone! The forum assignment for this week requires us to think of a dream we had and then go to a website that claims to be able to interpret what the dream was about. What was the dream that you used with the Dream Dictionary about (if you are not comfortable disclosing the dream skip this question and start with the next one). The dream I chose for this assignment is one I had about five years ago which is still fairly vivid to me even now because it had made absolutely no sense to me.…

As I went to my first day of school in a new city I was nervous, I didn't know if I was going to make any new friends, if I was going to fit in. The first day began and I immediately met Randy and Byanca, little did I know at the time that they would be my friends for all of my school career. Time went by and so did the grade levels, I would always struggle with one subject and thrive in another. During my elementary and middle school years I would struggle in language arts and history, but I would thrive in mathematics mainly because I love numbers.…

I would be so quiet that I would just sit there and you could forget that I was in the room.…

"Success is the result of perfection, hard work, learning from failure, loyalty and persistence" I have had many ups and downs over the course of my life thus far. One specific example of this took place during my freshman year of high school. When I started high school it was very challenging for me, partially due to the fact that; during this time, I was lazy, unmotivated and did not really take school seriously. This by far is one of my biggest regrets to this day. Who would ever think that not trying during my freshman year would continue to follow me throughout the course of my academic career.…

Introduction The article " Dreams and the Temporality of Consciousness” by Katherine MacDuffie and George A. Mashour (2010) appears in the American Journal of Psychology, an online academic journal. They provide an overview of the state of consciousness that includes 3 temporal dimensions when having dreams, and explain how the unique neurobiological environment of sleep is necessary for the temporal complexity of dreams to be possible. The authors’ goal was to explain the three temporal dimensions of the past, present, and future, and what parts of the mind are being used to keep these dimensions in thought. To provide evidence, they use various sources from neurobiology and neuroimaging research that has led the way for new concepts on dreaming…
