I come from a blended/ single family household. My parents divorced, remarried and divorced again. During the time of my parents being remarried I obtained four step siblings. My parents are two of the most hard working people I know. They are the ones that have given me everything from the first day I was born. They have taught me everything I know. My dad has made me a tough girl, showing me to never show emotions and keep my tears in. He has showed me that I need to work for everything I ever want in life and nothing comes free. Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter, Mother’s Day and so on, we always have a big feast. In a way, food brings my family and I closer as we always bond over a meal. Growing up I loved helping my mom out in the kitchen. Almost 20 years old and I still love to sit in the kitchen to either watch or help my mother make food. I cannot wait to have my own family, to teach and make memories with my children in the kitchen. Without food and get together that my family have, we wouldn’t be brought together as much as we are.
