Many people in the world deserve respect from others, but they do not usually receive it. Doctors, lawyers, government officials, military members, parents, teachers, athletes, businessmen, and pastors all should have admiration. Numerous people, because of resignation or authority, deserve more acknowledgement from individuals. Unfortunately, military members, parents, teachers, and pastors fall into the category of not receiving adequate appreciation. Others in authority--which includes doctors, lawyers, government officials, and business moguls--obtain recognition from the majority of the population. In today’s culture, one needs to work on giving respect to those who serve him or her and know the reason for extending it. Men and women who bravely serve in the military deserve some form of gratitude or acknowledgment. First, they regularly and voluntarily put their lives on the line for society to have freedom that frequently becomes forgotten or overlooked. Second, soldiers willingly fight so individuals can feel safer. Military personal leave their families to fight for independence so many disregard.
