The intent of my leadership philosophy is to help you understand my expectations. This philosophy will also help guide me as a leader. My goal is to prepare you for your next level. I vow to do my very best to keep you motivated at all times, good or bad. In any event that I fall short, I encourage you to hold me accountable. My daily operating principals include:
Taking Care of Soldiers: One important responsibility of a Non-Commissioned Officer and Human Resources Personalist is taking care of Soldiers. Give me all you have while you are on duty. I will make sure you are able to make some of those important family functions we, Soldiers, tend to miss.
Communication: Bottom line up front, communication is key to effective leadership. I will consistently provide all information given to me, to make you and our organization successful. I expect the same in return from you.
Professionalism: Be professional at all times, we are always being watched and critiqued, never allow anyone to see anything other than dedicated professionalism. Always carry yourself in such a way that other people see you in the highest regards.
Mistakes: We all make mistakes, I expect you to own up to your mistake, learn from it and move on. Don’t dwell on the past, but focus on how we can make today and tomorrow better.
All that being said, I have a few things that I will not stand for. Please do not be late without calling, lie to me or anyone else, or be disrespectful to a senior, peer, or subordinate. Be professional, I expect you to abide by that at all times.
If you have any questions, comments or concerns, my door is always open. As long as we are always doing what is right, together, we can’t go wrong. Together we will succeed, together we will
