Our company, Soap-n-Suds, has decided to get up to date with the latest Microsoft technology in order to advance our software and operating systems. Currently are operating on Window 6 desktop computers, however we would like to better our operating systems in order for Soap-n-Suds to be the best it can be. Therefore, recently we have been doing some much needed research on a couple of operating systems -- Microsoft, OS X El Capitan, and Linux 7 -- in order to see which would work best for our company. Additionally, as far as getting our company to reach its fullest potential goes our company have gone through a list of questions for each operating system in order to compare them to one another. Thus, the following information is all that we’ve accumulated this past week or so of the the three operating systems.
Training, is an important factor in comparing the Microsoft, OS X El Capitan, and Linux 7 operating systems due to the fact that the employees that will be working with these systems must be capable of using the new software and/or hardware that would possibly be provided. The training price, however, varies depending on the operating system. So, for the OS X El Capitan can vary to not very expensive to very expensive and the price is $65-$200. For the Windows 10 it costs approximately $119, to which is not half bad compared to the OS X El Capitan. Now, with the Linux 7, however, the certification fee is about $300 since it has been said to be a bit more difficult to use. Memory/storage is the most important factor in the computer that we are looking for in the matter that along with production, the files, data, and programs that we accumulate over time must be stored and organized in a spacious/reliable system computer because it is the part of a computer that the data or program instructions that is stored. …show more content…
So therefore, we are going to show the difference between a Windows 10 computer memory, Linux 7 memory and storage against an OS X El Capitan memory and storage. A Windows 10 computer has 32-bit of memory and the OS X El Capitan memory is 1GB for 32-bit. B stands for bytes and they are very small because 1000 of them make up 1 kilobytes and gb stands for gigabytes which is bigger than bytes. Linux 7 is fairly small and only takes up 1 gigabyte of memory. It is average and takes up a small space in the computers. If we go for a desktops that run by Mac operating system then it will lack capability with them. Therefore, we would have to update to the OS X El Capitan new computer from apples that would have to purchased. The price for each of apple is $1,099.00 for 1 TB storage. If we upgrade to Mac it would cost more because each employer would need a Mac to be able to use OS X El Capitan. A virus is a malware program that, when executed, replicates by inserting copies of itself (possibly modified) into other computer programs, data files, or the boot sector of the hard drive; when this replication succeeds, the affected areas are then said to be "infected". Windows 10 and OS X El Capitan both get viruses, but not in the same way an individual might think. The OS X El Capitan computer can get a virus, but they are not infected by the virus compared to Microsoft Windows 10 computer; therefore, they are effected by making your computer slower which is a huge plus. Although Windows 10 has some cool aspects, it isn’t very effective at protecting a computer from viruses, spam, and spyware, despite coming with its own anti-virus protection. Therefore, Microsoft operating systems have developed over the years which has lead to Windows 10. The reason is because Microsoft has modified the satisfy an individual needs. Which is also some of the same features of Apple’s operating system, but Microsoft has their own unique style. For instance, over the years Microsoft has gotten better by the operating system to make it more secure, but continues to keep a familiar design that is beneficial to Window users.
