Mexico has a huge number of exports that go around the world and especially in the United States. Mexico earns billions of dollars from selling machinery, cars, electronics, oil, alcoholic drinks, and food. Mexico has some of the biggest car manufacturing factories in the world and its maquiladoras bring much-needed income to the border cities of the Mexico-U.S. border. Since the United States uses the most oil in the world, Mexico's oil economy will always be thriving and helping the people. The beer and tequila industries are really good at helping the communities where the refineries are located in. I personally went to visit Tequila, Jalisco where most of the worlds Tequila is made. The town is really thriving and has many tourists that visit it every year. It is a great example of how the economy helps preserve the Mexican way of life. Food is very important in Mexico and it is very important for its economy. The agricultural market is very big in Mexico and it creates the majority of Mexico's biggest exports. These exports include corn, bananas, lemons, avocados, and beans. The small restaurants that Mexican people have are of the most important to the small towns and villages of people. They provide income to the communities where they are located. In my aunt's restaurant, she employs 10 people and does business with the local farmers to get the majority of her food ingredients. Just with her restaurant, my aunt helps the small town where she lives prosper by giving those families the money necessary for survival. This is the way the majority of towns that do not have any touristic places survive in

The country of Mexico officially gained its independence from Spain in 1821. To understand this specific juncture in the country’s history we must understand the political environment that came before it. Long before Cortes landed on the coast in 1521 in search of gold and silver, the political system of Mexico was organized by Mesoamerican civilizations like the Aztecs, Toltecs, Olmecs, and Mayans. By the time the Spanish arrived the Aztecs had a firm political grasp on most of the region.
