Wrap text is covered, which is a tool to adjust the layout of a cell so the text or numbers will not be cut off. This session covers the changing of formatting such as currency, cell layout and/or the use format painter, which takes the format from one cell and applies it to another. Absolute cell referencing is the use of the numbers, functions, or formulas used in one cell to reference into another cell, an example would be C$4$, which when inserted into any other cell will cause excel to use the information in c4 into the new cell. If this is not used the cell will use the formulas from the previously selected cell to the left or above, or below rather than the cell that needs to be constant such as C$4$. The next thing covered is the use of the insert function bar, and how to find the function that needs to be use Such as average, IF, COUNTIF, etc. Conditional formatting allows the users to apply a format to one or multiple cells as long as the conditions are met, which is useful when locating numbers an applying new formats to the qualifying cells. Example would be applying a green background to any numbers that are greater or less than 0. I learned that these tools will be very useful for the remainder of the …show more content…

The obvious and best solution to the problem of the normal anxiety and discomfort that are associated with attending one's first AA meeting is to go to the meeting with someone who knows the ropes. If no friend or acquaintance who happens to be an AA member is available, contact can always be arranged by calling the local AA Central Office and asking for a volunteer to telephone one. Although many people avail themselves of such measures to reduce the stress of their first AA meeting, many others find such logical preliminaries themselves too frightening and therefore do not follow them. It is principally to this last group, to those solitary and always frightened and confused "first timers," that this brief introduction is oriented.…

Final Opportunity Session I have chosen ten most important individuals, developments, and events of the twentieth century that has influenced the history of the United States. I have selected these because they exemplify the struggles of the United States economically and socially. They indicate people who are integral to great change in the United States, turning points of war, the creation of new technological developments, and beginnings of social and political movements. The combination of my choices show how Americans dealt with issues in their lives with the involvement of the government and what they did to create historical change in the twentieth century. The absence of these would not have transformed America to be where it is today.…

I will apply the tips I've learned in unit 1, COE1010 in my weekly course by first, having the willingness to learn. I will need to keep a balance in my life to effectively apply the skills needed in order to successfully learn and balance my goals. I will need to be investigative in order to draw my own conclusions about information I've gathered. I need to ask questions, locate, and sort the information. I will need to fully examine information by thinking analytically so I may effectively compare new and existing information for similarities, differences, strengths , and weaknesses that may or may not exist.…

I had the opportunity of being able to attend and observe The Serenity Seekers, an open Alcoholics Anonymous (A.A.) twelve step meeting. Upon arrival, I received a warm welcome by many different group members. They introduced themselves to me and one of the members even brought me pamphlets that provided me with information regarding what their A.A. program entailed. At first, I was apprehensive about going to an A.A. meeting; however, the members were all accepting of my presence, which made me feel comfortable. By accepting me, the members were displaying cohesiveness, the primary therapeutic factor allowing A.A. members to feel a sense of belonging, acceptance, and validation amongst the group.…

Born and raised on the City of Gold Coast I had little understanding of the ways of Aboriginal people. I didn’t come in contact with many indigenous while growing up. There may have been one or two Torres strait islanders in my class but I never really paid much attention to where they came from I just treated them like other class mates. This didn’t help me broaden my knowledge of their culture, as we never discussed it.…

My Alcoholics Anonymous meeting took place in 202 W. Broadway, Anaheim. The whole AA meeting lasted about an hour thirty minutes. On September 11, Kayla, Taylor and I attended the Parklane Group AA meeting. This meeting was covering chapter eight in the book Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions by Bill W. Before reading chapter eight, the leader of the AA meeting read aloud the rules and upcoming events, he then had us introduce ourselves. I was surprised to see that every time someone wanted to speak they first stated their name and referred to themselves as an alcohol addict. I thought this was only done in movies. However, I believe this step could help in the road to recovery.…

Community AA meeting My experience at a Community Alcohol Anonymous meeting took place at Macedonia Church in Williamston, NC on a Thursday night. I learned a lot of things just by attending this meeting such as all alcoholics are not the same stereotypical group that a majority of people put them under. I really do not know how I categorize alcoholics before becoming a nurse, but I have learned that they come in all shapes and sizes, different walks of life, employed or unemployed, and various income levels. One thing I noted during this meeting is that they seem to be very religious, constantly talking about God and/or a higher power to help them throughout their journey.…

The start of college classes has been a shock. I know you are overwhelmed with your Microeconomics and Calculus classes and the idea of Rhetoric is blocked out of your head. Even though you don’t want to think about Rhetoric, it is approaching soon and you need to be ready. One major thing that is different from Rhetoric and your high school English classes is you cannot just write your project or essay the night before it is due. But, there is no reason to be worried over it.…

The third AA meeting I attended was at Bridgewater Congregational Church, in Bridgewater Connecticut, at 7:00pm on Friday June 8, 2018. The past two meetings I attended were open book, however this meeting was a twelve- step meeting. The language used in this meeting was the same as the two other meetings I observed. Many members mentioned the words “higher power”, “prayer”, and “powerlessness”. The man who ran the meeting introduced himself, read the preamble and asked if there were any new members present.…

After only attending a municipality meeting once in high school for a civics paper, I was really blown away by the level of professionalism and efficiency that took place at this legislative meeting. Although it would be unfair of me to compare the small Dallas Township Municipal meeting with the Legislative session that took place at the Historic Courthouse that evening on February 21st at six o’clock. I really didn’t know what to expect for the most part, but once the meeting began I was able to use what information we had covered in class to help understand and put into words what legislation went through the County Council. To my surprise, a portion of the meeting felt like it was straight from a popular late night television special highlighting…

By making a chart with gender in rows, marital status in columns, and count of marital status in vales, you can identify how many females and males are single or partnered. Inserting a bar chart will visualize this data better. A bar chart visualizes categorical variables as a series of bars, each bar representing the specific category. Titles, amounts, and colors help you identify which one is which. In this case, when looking at the bar chart, you can conclude that 27 females and 21 males are partnered, while 13 females and 19 males are single.…
