“Great things are not done by impulse, but by a series of small things brought together.”- Vincent Van Gogh this is a great description of managing impulsivity Managing impulsivity is thinking before you act or respond to something. Managing impulsivity is a quality we use or should start using every single day of our life. Managing impulsivity is to take a little time to think about the situation you are in or who you are with before you speak or act. Something you must understand in order to understand what managing impulsivity is you need to know what impulsivity means; Impulsivity’s definition is “Acting or done without forethought.” A few examples of impulsivity are: being fast to anger, road rage, and being very violent. The part of this Habit Of The Mind that is important is “Managing “your impulsivity, and how to do so. Some good examples of managing impulsivity are: Organization, planning ahead, and prioritizing needs. that is a situation where she needs to manage her impulsivity, but in the first part of the book she acted very impulsively and got rid of 12 boys on the second day. She didn’t even think about what she was doing and how it was going to affect people. After that she began to manage her impulsivity she began to get to know all the boys and make sure that she is doing all of her duties properly by planning ahead. Now she thinks before she even considers doing a royal task or sending one of them home. If she where to continue to not manage her impulsivity she could have just eliminated everyone and not found anyone and risk losing her
