People say that the eyes are the windows to the soul, if only they that really meant. If someone is lying, looking a person in they eye will allow to to see right through them. If a person is hurt, sad, or even heart broken, all you have to do is make eye contact to know what they are feeling. The same is for people who are are in love, happy, and glad. The eyes show and see all. But this is only a small part of what I can see when I look someone in the eyes.
In the distance, thunder echoed, causing people to look around in concern for rain. Dark clouds over looked the town, making little children constantly duck inside whenever they felt a drop of water. There were no stars out tonight, and the moon shone faintly behind a haze of clouds. A gentle breeze swished through the small town, causing smoke from surrounding torches to fly into the faces of unsuspecting people . Soft music filled the air, giving it a sariel feeling. Couples danced together in rhythm to the music, but it was all I could do to not grimace in discomfort as I danced.

It was okay, she was just another girl who did not understand me. At least she was gone now. Arriving at the water fountain, I looked into the shining water. The fountain was made of pure white stone with flecks of blue to cover it. Standing in the middle of the pool was a hooded man with one hand raised in front of him as if to stop someone. Water gushed out of where the man’s eyes were, but it was hard to tell because of the flickering light of the torches. A low stone wall made of the same stone as the statue made a large ring that caught all the water. The stone ring was about ten yards in diameter, which made it big compared to the rest of the town.
