Would you think that any human being in this earth would have super hero strength and represent leadership? Well I would agree because in a Old English poem “Beowulf” He was an epic heroic man who sacrifice and protect his life for strangers. This would make him as an example of a perfect leader. The two authors Dr. Thomas Loughman and Dr. John Finley discuss various ways of how Beowulf how charismatic leadership. In the abstract they discuss the “Beowulf contains timely insights leadership and motivation trust respect loyalty and sacrifice”. He represents these charismatic traits like a regular citizen with a badge. For instance, police officers, doctors, fireman, construction workers and many more. However a leader is a person who has many variations of characteristics and personalities to persuade others people to join your side. Therefore, Beowulf represents what a true leadership is.

For example in the Conquer and Kanungo’s (1994) charismatic leader model it says “ research into change formal leadership they maintain focus on follow our responses well research into charismatic leadership folks on leader behavior”. I conceive that shows what Beowulf was in the epic poem when he was bold of defeating the beast Grendel. Beowulf boast in the epic comes to a point that represents a vice or a value. In class we made a chart to see as we read to see if he was vice or a value. Most likely hundred percent he was a value. He represented Courage,Faith and Generosity. Furthermore, in the paragraph Beowulf as a Charismatic leader it states “ The boasts he makes before the fight Grendel (Heaney 2001) signal as a public inspirational altercations of confidence in his companions abilities to overcome adversity in the form of the monster”.
