Lake Campers

After having fun at Lake Erie, we drove a couple hours to Cedar Lake, India, and then we found the camping grounds. Mom told us we might be there a long while, so we sent up our big ten person tent. Which, really, is only big for 3 people, they must of thought that tem dwarfs could fit in there, not people. The campsite wasn't really that big, but we didn't have to share anything with other campers. We had our own picnic table, and fire pit, and water and electricity. We even had our own trail in the woods right next to us, leading to a big open field. To add to the list, there was a playground really close to our campsite, but it was for all the campers. The park wasn't really that big, just a big circle, or raindrop, but there weren't that …show more content…
Then, since we were all starving, we went to the cafeteria and stuffed ourselves with their delcious dinner. Then, of course, we had desert of ice cream, then we were so stuffed we could have burst. Then we went to the auditorium and watched a short part of a play the staff leaders did. Then we went into small groups, and the older three went in with the youth while the younger 2 went in with the pre-schoolers. We first played a name game, then we talked about John 3:16 and then we went outside and played another game. By the time we were done talking and such, it was dark outside, and then the whole camp played a game called Mission Impossible. It was really fun playing secret spy's in the dark, and we got wet too. When the game was over, we were all tired, and we walked back to our campsite, and went to …show more content…
We weren't able to finish, so we went to the auditorium to watch the staff do another skit. After that, we went to the same place we did the night before, to the youth room. We played a game and then we talked about stuff, and after that, we got to spend time with our family and talking about what we learned. After that, since we didn't get to finish our lunch at the campsite, we went to go eat the lunch the camp provided. It was really good, and after we stuffed ourselves with food once again, we went to the auditorium to watch the staff do a little skit. After that, we went back to our youth room and played another game, and then we talked some more. Once we were done, from 1 o clock to 5 o clock was free time to do lots of different things that the camp provided. I played lazer tag most of the time, but i also did the rock climbing they provided, as well as the black slide they had made down a huge hill. I also did canoeing, gorrilla ball, and a couple other things, I had so much fun. After the 5 hours of fun time was over, we all high-tailed it over to the cafeteria to have dinner. They did this special thing and showed the campers how much food people get when they are poor, across the world. We all got to have some food, but only a little, and then they actually let us have some more. When dinner was over, we

A couple days passed and we finally reached Alcove Springs. I looked across the field and saw tall green grass and small hills barely peeking at the top of them. Wildflowers grew everywhere and it looked so pretty blending in with all the nature. The sunset between the small hills was a wonderful sight. We had to find flat land so we could camp there for two nights.…

There's not much i remember from when i was young, But i remember meeting a guy named Drewe when i was 10 or 11, He was tall for his age with short brown hair and Hazel eyes. He sat next to me and he was pretty funny so we quickly became friends, as we got to know each other better we realized we liked pretty much the exact same things and got along very well. My friends and I have been having a hard week and we wanted to just relax so I suggested to them my lake house house. They wanted a little bit more rustic feel to camping but none of us really had any actual camping gear so we just opted for the lake house. We got all the essentials for the weekend: bug repellent, snacks, a radio, and a friendly little card game to take our minds off the world back at home. Everything was going smooth until it hit about six-ish, that’s when everything just seemed to get a little bit more stressful. When, at the store, we got everything a girl could ask for and then some, we got brownies, chips, stuff to make milkshakes, ect.…

For the past 6 years of my life, I have gone to a sleepaway camp in Burnet, TX called Camp Longhorn Inks Lake. There are many enjoyable traditions at Camp Longhorn. Some of the\ traditions are the mile swim, campfire lighter, early bird, fun day, frog girl day, and marine/marina mud. Although these traditions are great fun, but none of them can compare to the most memorable tradition at Camp Longhorn, Church Mountain. Church Mountain is my favorite tradition at Camp Longhorn and my life has been infinitely changed by the experiences I have had up there.…

Maybe my parents just wanted to get rid of me for a week, but I created some of my best memories at Camp Edwards. The camp itself is a paradise for kids of almost any age. Across the seemingly endless campground, there are tons of exciting activities that campers can participate in, such as sailing and archery. Camp Edwards sits right beside a huge lake, making the entire camp feel separate from the rest of the world, a utopia of sorts. Across the vast water to the right sat a lonely island that some campers had an opportunity to swim to.…
