“The (SN) preference refers to how we gather information. We all need data to base our decisions. The ‘Sensing’ preference absorbs data in a literal, concrete fashion. The ‘Intuitive’ preference generates abstract possibilities from information that is gathered.” (The Personality Page, n.d.). It depends on the situation for which way I gather my information to use it for my decisions. My job has two separate duties, one is an office job where I need to finish forms, complete projects and work with many other people. The second is where I fly in the aircraft loading and unloading cargo and working with less people. For my flying job, we need to memorize many different numbers, phrases, and words to ensure we complete the job safely. As far as Organizational Behavior, it is very important in the workplace to not only make things work, but also ensure excellence at every level. “Job Satisfaction, which is a general attitude (not a behavior) towards one’s job; a positive feeling on one’s job resulting from an evaluation of its characteristics” (Robbins & Judge, 2009, p.32). Being able to have your individuals feel needed and have them attain job satisfaction at everything they do will increase not only their effectiveness but the group effectiveness as well, which in turn will increase managements effectiveness.
